finally hand over 1st A380 to Singapore airlines |
The first double Decker super
jumbo A380 has been handed over to Singapore airlines in Toulouse
today, over 18 months late.
Singapore Airlines is displaying the new cabins this morning as
it takes delivery at the Airbus factory in Toulouse. New first
class cabins include a full length wardrobes and separate
leather seating. The Seats in the centre of the cabin will
have a removable divider, enabling a double bed to be
offered. The airline describes the cabin as "a class
beyond first".
Singapore airlines is the first to put the A380 into the air.
Its first flight will be from Singapore to Sydney, but it will
come to the UK next year when a second A380 is delivered.
