The German airline Lufthansa have started an indefinite strike this week
regarding the trade union verdi rejected the 6.7% pay rise offer.
The airline has insisted that despite the strike it is striving to continue a full service although some flights are bound to be affected.
A spokesperson for Lufthansa has told the Travel Trade Gazette "Unfortunately we do not yet know which flights and routes will be affected … All we can do is advise travellers to check our website or call the reservations hotline to monitor the situation".
Lufthansa flies over 150,000 passengers daily and July is one of its busiest months of the year.
