Check
your insurance small print or pay the price
|
A stark warning from Europ Assistance
insurance group to holiday makers has advised people travelling abroad
to thoroughly check their travel insurance small print before enjoying
activities on holiday.
Customers could potentially face extortionate hospital fees if they have
an accident abroad doing such activities as quad biking, jet skiing,
paragliding and even mountain biking.
Online deals the best?
There are plenty of cheap holiday insurance policies about online or
even in your high street as its such a competitive market with consumers
searching for the cheapest deals.
If you plan on doing any activities or water sports while away you are
often better off paying a few pounds more before you go rather than a
hefty bill from the doctors.
Europ Assistance sales and marketing director Rob Upton has said,
"Our advice to holidaymakers is to try to anticipate activities
before leaving the UK and check to ensure that your travel insurance
provides appropriate cover. If in doubt, speak with the company from
whom you purchased the policy.”
Time to get out your holiday tickets and check if your covered.
