Australia's national airline Qantas,
dubbed 'The Flying Kangaroo' by many, has reported its highest
annual profits since they started operating.
The airline who over the last year has been involved in a failed
takeover attempt announced yearly profits of 1 billion Australian
dollars (£401 million), which is a 54% rise.
Their total revenue was AUD $15.2 billion which was also an 11% rise on
the previous year.
Qantas also said that they expected profits to rise another 30% further
this year mainly due to their low-cost carrier 'Jetstar'' who offer
budget Australian internal flights but also offer international flights
to Singapore, New Zealand, Japan, Hawaii & more.
