Bush
orders US Airports to be more welcoming
|
US President George Bush has signed a
legislation to which its claimed will make US airports more welcoming.
The changes are to be made at the top 20 US airports which together
account for over 90% of all international arrivals.
There will be over 200 extra customs and also immigration staff
appointed to cut down queue times and they will introduce new queue
management systems.
Video screens will be displayed showing how to fill in visa and
immigration forms correctly at the arrivals halls.
To stop the declining tourist numbers over the last few years the US is
also extending its visa waiver programme to countries like South Korea.
