SPAIN -
ADVANCE PASSENGER INFORMATION (API)
|
You may have seen
reports in the press stating that Spanish API requirements will cause
delays at UK airports. We recommend, if asked by customers, that you say
the requirement has been in force since 19 March without causing any
problems. In many cases scheduled airlines have a Manage my Booking
facility to provide the information online, but where this isn't
available customers should be reassured that the information required is
very basic, and even if provided at check-in will not significantly add
to check-in times.
PASSPORT
FEES TO INCREASE
|
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO)
has announced an increase to the consular premium element of the
passport fee to cover the growing cost of providing consular assistance
to British passport holders overseas. This will be implemented
from 4 October 2007 and will add £6 to the current £66 fee for a
standard adult passport, bringing it to £72. Child passports will
increase by £1 to £46, and jumbo passports by £8.00 to
£85. For further details, go to www.passport.gov.uk
or contact the Passport Adviceline on 0870 521 0410.
