Cook unveils wedding gift service

Thomas Cook is launching a wedding gift service that allows guests to
contribute towards a couple’s honeymoon or wedding.
The company claims it is the first major operator to offer the
service, though it is already offered by agencies such as Trailfinders.
Customers must select their overseas wedding or honeymoon from Thomas
Cook, Thomas Cook Signature, Thomas Cook Tours, Sunset, JMC or Style
Villas.
A special site is then set up for them, with a personal message and
information for guests, who can make contributions online, over the
phone or by post.
Malcolm Barlow, product development manager, Thomas Cook said
“Wedding and honeymoons continue to be huge market for us. Now this
gifting service opens great opportunities for agents to offer customers
the chance to have the wedding and honeymoon they want but maybe
couldn’t afford.”
The service launches on July 26 at www.thomascookhoneymoons.com and
will cost £19.99 but will initially be free for customers.
